Fluvanna Leadership Development Program co-Director Rudy Garcia received Fluvanna County’s first-ever Community Service Award, by resolution of the county board, Aug. 17, 2016. The resolution cited Rudy’s efforts, among other things, with: the Fluvanna Leadership Development Program since 2012; the Fluvanna County Finance Board since 2014; on the Fluvanna County Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Council; as president and member of Rotary of Fluvanna 2011-2016; as a Fluvanna Chamber of Commerce board member since 2013; and about a dozen other activities around the county and beyond. The county board called his level of activity and commitment to the community “breath taking.”
